faastFike’s FAAST is very early warning fire detection featuring the latest in Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology (FAAST). Compatible and complementary to each of Fike’s fire alarm and fire suppression systems, this technology uses an advanced, smoke chamber that actively draws air into its sensor through a pipe network, enabling FAAST to deliver highly accurate and discreet early warning detection for a wide variety of environments/applications.

Dual Vision. Single Purpose.
FAAST’s dual vision sensing technology uses a blue LED to detect a wide variety of fires with extremely low concentrations of smoke and an infrared laser to identify nuisances like dust that can cause false alarms and expensive downtime. Advanced algorithms interpret signals from both sources… and the result is the earliest and most accurate smoke detection available, providing facility, valuable asset and life safety protection.

Communication Link
Like other Fike intelligent devices, FAAST combines advanced communications and programming capabilities with an extensive range of customizable settings. The detector provides five alarm levels that can be programmed for latching or non-latching relays; and alarm delays can be set to accommodate specific codes or application requirements. When internet-connected, FAAST can also e-mail
status updates to appropriate personnel, and the detector can communicate information such as alarm levels, urgent and minor faults, and isolate inputs.
